Book a Free Trial Class

Welcome to Varsity Performance Karate. We are pleased that you are considering karate for your child and look forward to helping them have a positive, enjoyable first experience at the dojo.

Booking a free trial class is a simple two-step process:

1. Register for the free trial and complete the waiver through Amilia.

2. Contact us by email or WhatsApp to confirm the class your child would like to attend.

 

A free trial gives your child an opportunity to meet our coaches, experience the training environment, and participate in an age-appropriate Varsity Tykes or Recreational Karate class before deciding whether to join.

 

Step 1: Register and Complete the Waiver

• Varsity Performance Karate uses Amilia SmartRec to manage program registrations, waivers, memberships, and payments.

• Click the link below to create or access your Amilia account, enter the required participant information, register for the free trial, and complete the participation waiver.

• Register for a Free Trial Class:

• Please note that completing the Amilia registration and waiver does not automatically reserve a specific class time.

 

Step 2: Contact Us to Confirm Your Class

• After completing the Amilia registration, contact us by email or WhatsApp and let us know which class your child would like to attend.

• Your child may attend any age-appropriate Varsity Tykes or Recreational Karate class that fits your family’s schedule. We will confirm the class and can answer any questions you may have before your visit.

​Preparing for the Trial Class

Please arrive approximately 10 minutes before the class begins. This will provide time to find parking, enter the dojo, meet the coach, and help your child become comfortable before the class starts.

 

Your child should:

• Wear loose, comfortable clothing suitable for physical activity

• Bring a water bottle

• Remove jewellery before participating

• Arrive ready to move, learn, and have fun

• A karate uniform and protective equipment are not required for the free trial class.

The dojo entrance and parking area are located at the rear of the building and are accessed from Tennyson Road.

​

The parking lot can occasionally become congested around class-change times. Please allow a few additional minutes for parking and arrival. Consider parking on the street and walking into the parking lot.
